FACEBOOK SOE WIKI REDESIGN

Facebook’s Source, Operation, and Engineering organization asked our team to redesign their wiki pages to improve navigation, the flow of content throughout the site, and reflect Facebook’s rebrand. The site content is mainly on introduction to the organization, the makeup of the teams, and the resources and tools available for different functional roles to do their jobs.

The team lead, the developer, and I worked closely on doing an audit of the site, presented the findings and proposal of what the redesign would entail and solve, got the approval, and went straight to design and implement the redesign of twenty pages for the first phase of the redesign launch, all within 3 months. The success required quality control implementation, hitting each of the major milestones, managing internal client’s expectations throughout the project, and deliver each group of pages per our agreement upfront.

The new design met the business and design requirements and received accolades from both within and outside the organization. As a result, we were inundated with requests to redesign the other pages within the organization and had wiki redesign requests from another organization.
